It is required to use sealant or glaze to protect the material agains staining and make it water-resistant. 

 

Due to the origin of this material, this type of tile is one of the more expensive options - however, the expense is worth it due to the luxurious look that natural stone has. If the budget allows it, natural stone is a fantastic material that will make your home feel elegant and sleek.
